Kerkez Music is a new platform for quality underground dance music started up by Goran Kan aka Kerkez. After releasing records on various labels such as Primal Force, Soma, Minisketch, SAF Series, Flux Recordings and other, starting a label of his own was the next logical perspective for this Macedonian talented DJ and producer. Kerkez Music will mostly serve as Goran´s personal disperser for his own works, whereby he is going to suprice his fans occasionally with some phenomenal remixers. The debut release Kerkez ´ Harmonia EP (KZM001) presents three original tunes, whereby the smart melodic storytelling is the common feature for all three of them. The opening track ´Harmonia´ is melodic and groovy straight forward houser, full of synth jamming along the electronic baseline. The main synth texture which is twisting throughout the entire arrangement is enriched by the sudden solo ´ played modular themes that continue to tell the story to the end, forming an essential musical cut that stands out from all the loopy generic approach in the dance music these days. The second one ´Pimplam´ is more podium rooted track, that lets the porkin drums to flow dynamically; the deep chords are dropping in sequence with the trippy vocal snippet, and by adding the mysterious synth line in the breakdown, Kerkez creates a hypnotic groovy taster that could be drooped at any time during your set. Finally the closing tune of the first release ´Rebirth´ has a lot in common with the 1st track. Deep, moody synth notes floating around by various electronic sequences in a very special harmonic theme; once this mood is going to get you hooked, you continue staying focused on the upcoming solo musical twists that follow throughout the track. Obviously Goran created a ´´must have´´ release, therefore a great introduction for Kerkez Music. The second release which is going to follow soon this summer is going to be a sampler of Goran´s fist studio album with a remix of UK´s techno maestro Mark Broom.
