For Well Rounded´s 12th release we present the debut EP by South London based producer GONGON. First heard in collaboration with Bad Autopsy on our Cash Antics 2 EP with their impressive track `Mag´, the boys are back again but with GONGON stretching out across 2 of these excellent tracks. These effortlessly marry multiple influences including R&B, Garage, UK Funky & Kwaito House. `I Could Be There´ has been in hot demand for time. Finally unleashed with a newly mastered mixdown this sounds as essential as ever. The hard sturdy drums and upfront bass carry chrome-plated chords and yearning vocal loops straight to the heart of the dancefloor. `Cactus Banger´ produced in collaboration with Bad Autopsy is an exotic creation. Insistently melodic yet strangely detuned flutes flutter beautifully across exploratory rhythms inspired by African Kwaito House. The sudden striking chords add an almost Western film soundtrack atmosphere to the strange brew. This is truly unusual and wonderful in our opinion.
